Student Interviews

Technology alone is not enough to prevent information leakage. I would like to learn a wide range of subjects including management and legal issues.

I became interested in security because of a breach of information on a website I used frequently

My graduation research at university was related to cryptography and there was a personal information breach on a website I used to use myself. All of this has made me realise the importance of information security in today's world. In the future, I would also like to work in the information security sector. So, I decided to go to the graduate school specialising in information security, where I could learn the necessary comprehensive knowledge and the latest case studies.

A lesson on the Constitution, the fundamental basis of laws!
I was surprised by the range of classes

As far as human behaviour is concerned, security cannot be solved by technology alone. This is why it's fascinating to be able to study management and even law at this graduate school. I recently had the opportunity to read the Constitution, which is the basis of the law, in class and was surprised by the breadth of the teaching, which was more than I had imagined. How can laws cover information related issues, where new situations are constantly emerging? I want to study hard on this topic.

ISS square is a collaboration with other universities,
Attractive internships opportunities in companies, too

ISS square programme offers a wide range of classes in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and Chuo University. It also offers internships opportunities in companies to which I was very attracted. In the ISS square study group, I am going to study "Cryptography and Authentication" from a different perspective from the graduate school.
