Researching into creating a security system that is more user-friendly for the end-user, with an image selective authentication method.

From cryptography to law
Learning a wide range of information security topics

After graduating from a technical college, I enrolled in IISEC to further my studies. Cryptography underpins many of the important systems of modern society, including the resident registry network. I have been able to study a wide range of subjects including technology, law and management. This is unique to this graduate school, that it offers education of various disciplines with information security at its core.

The challenge of "image-based" authentication for ease of use

When I used to work part-time for an ISP-related company, I realised that security awareness was still not widespread and that some end users are unprotected against viruses. Therefore, through my research on image-based authentication methods, I would like to consider "security that is easy to use for many people". Whilst images have their advantages, such as being more familiar and easier to remember than a series of numbers, there are problems with their implementation. Many of our students are actually using authentication systems or are involved in building such systems. It's nice to get some very useful feedback, like "Is the load on the system OK?" or "Where do we store the images we want to keep secret?".

By interacting with people of various occupations, I can imagine my future job

The interaction between fellow students has given me valuable advice about my future job. I would like to become a programmer or a SE after I complete the Master course, so it's good to hear from students in these fields.
