Profile
Eiji Kuwana embarked on his new role as Professor at the Graduate School of Information Security, Institute of Information Security (IISEC), on September 1, 2023. With decades of experience in research and development in the field of information security, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his professorship.
Throughout his career, primarily with NTT R&D, Eiji has made significant contributions to the advancement of cloud computing and cybersecurity technologies. He has held several key leadership positions, including director and president of various companies within the NTT Group, from 2013 to 2024. Since 2021, he has also served on the ISC2 Board of Directors, demonstrating his commitment to nurturing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
Eiji holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and a Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Computer Science from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, earned in 1982 and 1984, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tsukuba in 2000.
